CURSO TALLER: ¿QUÉ ES HACER ARQUEOLOGÍA?.
PRESENTACIÓN DE UNA EXPERIENCIA EDUCATIVA

RESUMEN:
Se presenta a continuación, la exposición de una experiencia educativa llevada a cabo a partir del dictado del Curso - Taller ¿Qué es hacer Arqueología? El mismo nació como parte del proyecto "Exhibir, Comprender y Proteger", elaborado por el Instituto de Arqueología y Museo (I.A.M.). Dicho proyecto fue premiado con un subsidio de la Fundación Y.P.F. en la convocatoria para la "Innovación en Museos" en 1997. El curso - taller está dirigido a estudiantes de tercer año del primer ciclo, segundo y tercer ciclos completos de la E.G.B. y Polimodal.
En este artículo exponemos la estructura básica del dictado del curso, como así también el impacto del mismo en los participantes. Esta experiencia nos permitió reflexionar, entre otros temas, sobre ciertas falencias educativas en la enseñanza de la prehistoria americana en las escuelas, la carencia de un sentimiento de identidad y pertenencia hacia el pasado indígena, el desinterés por el patrimonio y conservación de los bienes culturales del pasado y la falta de tolerancia ante la diversidad cultural.
ABSTRACT
The following is the presentation of the exposition of an educative experience which was performed since the dictation of the workshop (curso-taller) "What is Archaeology about?". This workshop was part of the project called "To exhibit, to understand and to protect", which was elaborated by the Instituto de Arqueología y Museo (I.A.M). This project was awarded with an Y.P.F. Foundation subsidiary in the "Innovations in museums summons in 1997. This workshop is directed at students of 3rd ; 4th ; 5th ; 6th and 7th grade and high-school students.
In this article we expound the workshop basic structure and also its incidence in the participants. These experiences gave us the opportunity to reflect about some educative faults occurring in schools for example the teaching of American Prehistory. It also showed us the lack of identity and possession feelings on the natives of the past. Finally we could see the lack of interest in the patrimony and the preservation of the past cultural goods and the lack of tolerance towards the cultural diversity.
